Adaptive Snowsports Program - CADS Calgary
Canadian Adaptive Snowsports Association Calgary (CADS Calgary) provides opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in alpine snowsports in a community-based environment at Winsport with trained instructors. This year InMotion Network provided support for 16-63 year old women who attend the program. This includes individuals with spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, visually impaired, and other neurodevelopmental disabilities. To overcome barriers to participation for persons with a variety of disabilities, financial support and adaptive equipment is provided.
In 2023-2024 season, over 123 girls and women participated with the support of over 313 volunteers. As this is an ongoing program, CADS Calgary will continue to seek support to fund more girls and women to attend their programming.
