Understanding Barriers and Facilitators for Women Coaches and Officials:
A Survey Examining Alberta's Sporting System
This survey has been developed as part of a three-year Alberta based project intended to disrupt some of the gendered, racialized, classed, and (dis)abled norms that our sporting systems have inherited. The information collected will be used to co-create new advocacy tools, strategies, policies, and resources with the goal of increasing the number of diverse women in coaching and officiating positions at all levels of Alberta’s sporting system.
This survey is for women working in coaching and officiating in Alberta and those sport administrators that support them. For the purposes of this survey the category of woman includes cisgender women and transgender women. If you identify as a non-binary coach or official we also welcome your feedback, noting the questions are specific to women.
Please note, this survey is anonymous and will not be connected to your name and contact information.
The survey should take approximately 15-30 minutes to complete.
Most questions are required, if you do not have an answer please enter N/A.
Once you complete the survey you will be able to enter a draw to win 1 of 5, $100 gift card.
Survey closes Oct 31, 2024, draw will take place Nov 4, 2024.
If you have any questions about the survey (or the project in general), please contact
