Softball Competition Development Certification

Working with Softball Alberta, Rhonda was able to use her Take the Lead support to attain a Competition Development Certification in order to meet the requirements to coach female athletes at the Canada Summer Games in the sport of softball. In order to move into this level of certification, it required Rhonda to take numerous courses as well as complete game and practice evaluations. 

This process supported Rhonda to:

• Increase her confidence as a coach.
• Have the opportunity to work with a variety of coaches to be aware of different coaching styles. 
• Be a role model and leader for young female athletes. 

Congratulations to Rhonda who was able to use her leadership and coaching skills to become the third women in Alberta that have these coaching credentials!
